Integrating MortgageQuote's systems with Zoho CRM
Last updated
Navigate to the page within your MortgageQuote account and then click on the "Connect" button next to the Zoho CRM integration. You will be redirected to a Zoho page asking you to accept MortgageQuote's authorisation to your crm.
Once you have connected your MortgageQuote account to Zoho CRM, you will need to configure the integration to ensure that leads are captured correctly.
The configuration table on MortgageQuote allows you to map the fields from your Mortgage Quoting System to your Zoho CRM account. This will ensure that the data is captured correctly and in the correct fields. Each row in the table corresponds to a question asked by the quoting system.
There are four columns in the table:
MQ Variables - This column provides the variable in the quoting system in relation to the question asked.
Zoho CRM Fields - This column is where you enter the field in Zoho CRM that the MQ Variable corresponds to.
Examples - This column provides examples of the data that will be captured by the quoting system.
Field Type - This column provides the type the custom field should be in Zoho CRM.
In order to capture the data from your Mortgage Quoting System, you will need to create custom fields in Zoho CRM. These fields will be used to store the data captured by the quoting system. You can create custom fields by following the steps below:
Navigate to the Leads module in Zoho CRM.
Click on the "Setup" cog icon in the top right corner of the page.
In the Customisation section, click on the "Modules and Fields" option.
Then click on the "Leads" module in the table.
This brings you to your layouts. You can either add a custom field to the Standard Layout or create a new layout by clicking on the "Create New Layout" button.
Once in the layout editor, add the required fields you need from MortgageQuote. Remember to use the field types that match the ones on the configuration table on MQ. If there are multiple types, e.g. "Number" or "Currency", it is your choice which one to use.
Once you have added all the fields, click on the "Save" button to save your layout.
You can now map the fields in the configuration table on MQ to the custom fields you have created in Zoho CRM. Please ensure that the field name in Zoho CRM matches the field name you input in the configuration table.
Example: You may call the MQ Variable "Mortgage Type", "Type of Mortgage" in your Zoho CRM layout. So you would need to paste "Type of Mortgage" in the Zoho CRM Fields column in the configuration table that corresponds to the MQ Variables column.
The integration will not function if your layout contains a mandatory field that is not in the configuration table. For example, the Zoho CRM standard layout has a mandatory field called "Company". As this field is not in the configuration table, the integration will not work. To resolve this, you can remove the mandatory status from the field in Zoho CRM or create a new layout without the mandatory fields.
Once you have filled out all the required fields in the configuration table, you now just need to provide the Layout ID of your chosen layout for the integration.
To obtain the Layout ID, follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Leads module in Zoho CRM.
Click on the "Setup" cog icon in the top right corner of the page.
In the Customisation section, click on the "Modules and Fields" option.
Then click on the "Leads" module in the table.
Click on the "Layouts" tab in the table.
Click on the layout you created for the integration. The Layout ID is the number at the end of the URL.
Copy the Layout ID and paste it into the Layout ID field in box next to the configuration table on MQ.
To test the integration, click on the "Test Configuration" button. This will send a test lead to your Zoho CRM account to ensure that the integration is working correctly and that the data is being captured in the correct fields.
Click on the "Save Configuration" button to save your configuration.
If the authorisation fails, you will be redirected to a fail screen with an error code. This failure may be due to many reasons, such as the region set on your account may be different to the regions allowed with the authorisation. If this occurs, please and we can help resolve the issues you're having.
The integration is now configured. Please if further assistance is required.
If you wish to disconnect this integration, go back to the and click the "Disconnect" button.
